Joint Physical Custody
Joint physical custody is a form of custody of minor children in which the parents share the actual physical custody of the child. The time that the child spends with each individual parent is structured between the parties. Joint physical custody does not essentially require that there should be an equal sharing of time.

After my divorce, my ex-wife rented an apartment in our children’s current school district. I unfortunately had to rent an apartment outside the school district for monetary reasons; child support and alimony. Sound familiar? So, I drove them to-and-from their elementary school daily. A few years later I remarried and we looked for a house that would be in the school district. This way I would no longer have to drive them and they could now be bused to-and-from school.
